I have the exact same problem. I asked this question too, and no one answered it yet. If you get an answer and it workds/fixes your problem, can you tell me or something? I've been trying to put a music video on my PSP and its goes through fine, but when I go to my PSP folder, it says no video. I think maybe that's because we both "made" a folder, and the PSP doesn't recognize it as a folder that should be on a PSP, maybe its not programmed in. Maybe you should get a new memory card...

the same thing happened to my videos, SOMEONE PLEASE HELP US
-
i just got the soulution your have to goto 'system settings' then 'format memory card, WARNING it will delete everything you have on the memory card so copy and paste it into a folder in c:/

When I updated my husband and sons PSP's it said that the folder names have to be in all capital letters so maybe that might be the problem.

from a website (I don't use PSP so have no idea if this helps you. With the PSP switched off, connect the USB cable to the PSP and to the computer, then switch on the PSP. On the PSP access: Settings > USB Connection. Next, press the X button to boot the PSP on to the computer, where it will appear on the desktop as an untitled volume. Inside the memory card you should see a folder named "PSP" and inside that folder there will be four sub-folders of, "Games", "Music", "Saveddata", and "Photo". You must add a new folder here named, "MP_ROOT" (without the quotes) which must be in the same level as the "PSP" folder. Under the "MP_ROOT" folder add a sub-folder named "100MNV01" -- this is where your MP4 videos and their accompanying thumbnail files (*.THM) will be stored.

Same here, my dad got me a psp from South Korea with model no. PSP-1005, the day i got it, I had to search the net for the instructions to play the videos, since the manual i got was in Korean. Then, I create folders for video, photo,etc.. all in caps, but yet I was unable to play the videos. On the contrary, everything else worked fine, head to toe!!! I tried formatting it, getting a new mem card, updating the firmware, but yet, the console aint able to recognize any of my videos, even in the correct and proper format!!! Someone, please help me!!!
-
Yeah, I got the answer to this mess!! I first installed the update 3.11 to the console, then i manually formatted the mem stick through my comp in FAT format. Then, I did the same using the console itself. Then, a Video folder appeared in the main dir of the system, pasted the videos there in a mp4 format and Woohoo!!!

You have to convert the stupid videos and put the videos, with some documents that helped it convert it, in a folder called MP ROOT, which you find in the computer when its in USB mode.
-
The folder "VIDEO" has to be put in the Root of your memstick,NOT in the PSP folder. Also you need Firmware 2.81 or up to use the video folder.

u have to make a floder and name it { MP_ROOT }then in tha floder u make two more floders named {100MNV01 & 101ANV01 }then you need to make shower the movie is mp4. "[if not get a mp4 conveter online some were]" then u put the movie&the HTM. file in the {100MNV01} floderclose the window and safly disconect your psp from the computer and injoy. if u don't know what a HTM. is it's the file that makes an icon in your video selection. have mor questions Email me Goods_Sonpk@yahoo.com

I had the same problem so i got media manager, it fixed everything, it was $27 at Walmart but was worth every penny. I do still have a problem though i have the 1005 too and when i try to play a UMD movie it says "The region code is not correct" and it won't play, anyone know why it does this?

Something else which may cause them not to show is your naming of the individual video files. They must be named M4V20114.MP4 (the 5 numbers in the middle can be any between 0-9). Best to keep it all capitals. Also your VIDEO folder must be in the root of your PSP memstick directory. If you would like to go to somewhere where you can get all the info you'll ever need about PSP's got www.psp35.tk they are good people there and you save a fortune too.

I had the same problem. If you open the stick up on windows file opener or somthing like that. then you see psp. make a file named VIDEO and you can put video files on exept iTunes video. You have to get media manager for that. (I think) hope I was helpful
-
you have to make two files one that says VIDEO and the othr one that says PSP. then put the files in VIDEO. p.s. iTunes videos don't work
