Help answer this question below.
When you have the absolute value sign, you need to take into account the positive and negative answers to the problem. In other words, there are two equations to solve:
1. H - 6 < 2 and
2. H - 6 > -2 (why the flip? because of the negation - a larger negative number heads towards zero)
To solve either, add 6 to both sides.
hmmm... okay so u wanna get all the numbers on one side and the letter on the other. So you would add 6 to both sides and get h<2+6. So u would add 2+6 and get h<8.
ANSWER= h<8

use the factor theorem to determine whether or not h(x) is a factor of f(x)
h(x) = x + 1; f(x)= x^3 - 4x^2 + 3x + 8
