I think the Iraq War will end up like the Vietnam War. Do you agree or disagree. Why or why not. 1 other thing: Didn't I sound like one of those annoying essay questions on a test? =P

No, I disagree. And, shame on us if we treat our soldiers the way the vietnam vets were treated when they came back. That being said, a lot depends on who gets elected. Pulling the soldiers out of Iraq prematurely would be a big mistake. We are winning. Our soldiers are making a difference and we need to see it through. Polls show that an overwhelming majority of soldiers support McCain. That should tell you something. +2

Afghanistan has a greater chance of being a "Vietnam" type of war than Iraq. No one in history has ever "held" Afghanistan, not Alexander, Genghis, the British (from India) or recently, the Russians. Why NATO thinks it can hold it is beyond me.
