Live bait is my choice. I like to fish for catfish and crappie. About a year ago, I caught over 100lbs of catfish one day in a private pond. No sooner than I put my line in the water, a catfish took the line.

I would RATHER use artificial lures, but at times, when hunting for trophy bass and others, it is necessary to use live bait. But, as a preference, artificials are much more challenging.
