  • In my 1987 P-30 motorhome, the fuel pressure regulator (looks like a valve) diaphram went bad and began to leak. It's mounted to the frame rail, towards the rear, next to the fuel tank. Dealers quoted new "old-stock" parts costing hundreds! A Holley regulator from the local speed shop turned out to not only be adequate but IDENTICAL to the original. The biggest problem was getting the old one out. It was sandwiched between the tank and frame. http://www.holley.com/12-803.asp or http://www.holley.com/12-8501.asp This one was carbureted. A fuel injected model would use a higher pressure regulator.
  • The replacement Holley part(Diaphragm and Spring)that will fit with no modifcations to your stock GM regulator is Holley Part # 12-807 (This is the rebuild kit for Holley 12-803 fuel pressure regulator which is an exact match the stock GM part). Go to your local NAPA or online. It costs between $6-$10 and takes about five minutes to remove the old one (four phillips head screws) and replace it.
