How do I stop my computer from automatically restarting after Windows updates? I have vista 32 bit.

Turn off automatic updates and update manually, then it has to ask you when it's done whether you're ready to reboot. (You can set that up in the windows updates section in control panel.) If you don't want it auto rebooting you can set it to download and notify you when updates are ready to install instead of doing it automatically. If you're viewing control panel in vista style, it's in the security section. If you have control panel in classic mode it's simply in the windows updates icon.
