  • I don't think they're having as much effect. People are starting to look at the whole picture, not just one or two issues.
  • the use by the mccain campaign of fear mongering and associating obama with domestic terrorist bill ayers and perhaps foreign terrorists and allusions to race ... all reverberate in the american voter - but, this time, with two wars, a collapsing economy, failed schools, deteriorating infrastructure, no money left for social security or medicare or medicaid - it has very little effect. those voters likely to be influenced by these wedge issues were never going to vote for anyone but mccain. in my opinion, the obama campaign has kept things much cleaner and hasn't introduced wedge issues such as mccain's age or declining cognitive functioning or palin's IQ or school grades and drop outs or ... well, this is a good question. thanks!!!
