  • If I was a heroin addict, I would want to quit, of course. But it's better not to become one in the first place. I have a friend who I met at a hospital, while he was going through his heroin and methadone withdrawal crysis. It was painful to watch. But he's clean now. However, the real battle has barely begun. He intends to go to an addict commune in Italy for 30 months. It is supposed to be very effective in teaching and training people to live a normal, healthy, happy, drug-free life. I wish he succeeds. We promised to stay in touch. So, if I was in his position, what I would want would be to have a normal life and feel good without getting high. To have a loving wife, children, get along well with my parents, family and friends, to have a successful career, to have hobbies I enjoy etc...And also, very importantly, to help other people, in whatever way I can. That is actually what I want right now, and I'm not a junkie. :) I did have problems with alcohol but I've been sober for 5 weeks.
