I would suggest that cutting out carbohydrates (esp), dairy, sugar and sugary foods aswell as wheat and wheat based foods and vegetables with high glyemic levels will all help. Basically, a Low Glycemic Index diet. It may seem that this rules out most food, but there are plenty that you can continue to enjoy. You just need to re-educate your body from all your current habits, some of which are likely to be unhealthy. Bear in mind that this concept is still in its early stages.
