  • ross, kohls and sale racks!!!
  • jc penney
  • Costco and Future shop
  • I prefer Wal-mart..it is close and convenient
  • Small, locally owned stores.
  • Rather a long journey from the UK to those stores I will go for Harrods , Fortnum and Mason, Jaeger. Selfridges, Debenhams and Marks and Spencers Max out the bank account and cards going on this trip
  • David Jones for me, it is a slightly upmarket department store in Australia.
  • Clothes for mom: Sears Food: Costco Good prices: Walmart, Kmart Walk in, buy, leave: Target
  • I prefer to shop online, and when I cannot it is usually Marshalls, Macy's or Wal-Mart..
  • Walmart, but not Super Walmart. I have found that though the idea of a Super-stay-up-all-night-do-all-of-your-shopping-in-one-place is great, but when it comes down to the cash-ola, Super Walmart is slightly more expensive. A new one just opened up near me and the prices are outrageous. I go to the regular Walmart for my paper and dry goods and Stop & Shop for my food. They are both Unionized and clean! : ^ D
  • girl, target of course.
  • I like sears and marshall fields(macys)i get all of my stuff their.
  • Costco. It's close, I have a Costco card and I enjoy the free food samples:)
  • Target or various smaller stores for food and other goods. I also shop for clothes Kohls and almost never shop at Wal-Mart for food.
  • I like Walmart, but Target is arguably more stylish and for that reason they often charge more than the nice people @ Walmart would. Plus Target doesnt have a greeter, which is great becuz I particularly find greeters a little impersonal, lol As for clothes, I shop EVERYwhere- I'm a woman, afterall :)
  • I hate to admit it because I am a member of a Union that does not want it's members to shop at Wal-Mart, but it's so convienent and cheap I can't help it.
  • In the UK: Tescos, Asda, Independent Retailers, Argos, H&M, Marks & Spencers, Harrods. In Ireland: Tesco Ireland, Dunnes Stores, Brown Thomas, Argos, Heatons, H&M, Marks & Spencers, Easons.
  • Walmart for household goods and groceries. Sears for shoes
  • Clothing: Supre and Glassons Food: Fresh Choice :) theyre NZ shops! check out : www.supre.co.nz to see what type of shop it is!
  • I would definetley say Costco because they have more deals,Like when my kids want some Littlest PetSHop toys,Instead of one pet in the box the get like five and we got it for a cheaper price to!
  • I like Target, but they are rapidly falling out of favor with me in the clothing and shoe departments. I absolutely will not shop at Walmart because Walmart is the devil and I am boycotting it.
  • I have done some research into these corporations and their business practices and I prefer Costco above the others. Costco treats their employees better. They are paid an attractive, competitive wage and they have real benefits. Per square foot, Costco is more profitable than Sam’s Club. I will add that I personnaly like Kohl's, a very well run chain. I will actually enter this store and shop with my wife there, although I always lose her in there! Elihelli gave the best answer here, remember the small, privately owned shop.
  • I prefer buying used, but if I have to buy new, I shop locally or online. If I have to choose from "big box" stores, though, I'd choose CostCo, simply because they offer their employees much better pay and benefits than the others. They also cut fat from executive paychecks - their CEO makes only 10 times the pay of his typical employee, whereas WalMart's CEO takes home about 530 times as much as his typical employee.
  • i love walmart!!! (seriously, I could spend hours there, we just don't have anything comparable in england, except maybe tesco, but it's not the same)
  • I prefer future shop for electronics. International clothier for boy's clothes. CostCo if I have to buy in bulk like medicines. and prefer the Nike store for good shoes and sometimes athelete dpt.
  • Target, BJs, CostCo, Macy's...depends upon for what I am shopping.
  • Well now, I can't pass up a question on shopping! :) For clothing (in US): H&M (when I'm in a city where they have them! :( The Limited, Gap, Jcrew, Macy's, NY&co..any local boutiques are fun too. :) Food: New Seasons (local market), Haggens, Fred Meyer/Krogers, Trader Joes, and costco for big stuff.
  • Pamida-it totally rocks
  • Target, but it's the devil, spend WAY too much money there
  • Target, though i still contend that they play subliminal messages in the music that encourage spending!
  • I like Target.
  • Walmart. Always have what I need at a cheap price.
  • Wal-Mart -- No one speaks English. K-Mart -- How do they organize their stuff?? Why does no one ever clean it up?? Sears - High pressure sales for commission in some departments. Target -- I guess it's the best of the bad choices.
  • Target! I love Target! The crowds aren't nearly as bad, things are stocked better and their clothes dont suck.
  • Target! I love Target. Bright, well organized, good quality, good prices. I hate Wal-Mart, disorganized, dirty, low quality, bad service. Kmart is just gross. Sears is ok for tools and appliances.
  • Thank god nobody said Sears I work there and I hope it goes bankrupt aswell, but I've been working longer hours meaning ppl still shop there god damnit ><
  • The $.99 and dollar stores only!
