Three tips for your survey request: 1) word it with the time commitment ("just 1 minute of your time..."): 2) include the requested action ("and your opinion..."); 3) include the benefit to them ("will show you where your input ranks with others...") In other words, offer them some insight (or other fun fact, ranking, opposing view, etc.) in return for their opinion. Think in terms of WHAT THEY WANT.
