Lots of people here have been complaining about "socialism" in America, so how many of them returned their ( stimulus checks)?

Spending that check doesn't constitute socialism in my opinion. It was my money, earned by me, in the first place. Who knows what the government would have spent it on?

That is taxable money. We will pay for it on our 2008 taxes. It's not a good analogy. And I never saw one, myself.

I see where you are coming from but the stimulus check was a one time plan to boost the economy, it wasn't a system set up to indefinitely disperse funds, or a dept. set up to provide a service to everyone. Not only that but the amount varied depending on certain criteria, not EVERYONE got it and not everyone go tthe same amount..so all in all I don't think it was really a form of socialism like public schools, fire dept.s , welfare and other things.

I did not get a stimulus check, my income was to high, so your welcome, because it was probably my check to the IRS that went to you. I hope you enjoyed whatever it was that I paid for.
