Well, as long as the electric fences don't lose power and the T Rex stays in its paddock, I guess it's alright.

Faulty major premise. Jesus took his DNA (together with his entire body) back to heaven on the Day of Ascension, described in the last few verses of Mark's and Luke's Gospels.
-
I would like to see more responses to this if possible

I hate to say this buddy but this is so hypothetical its ridiculous. Not only do we not have any of Jesus's DNA, we couldn't get any of Jesus's DNA because he was resurrected and acended into heaven (body and all) but we don't even have the technology quite yet to clone people. But I would say its closer to playing God then bringing about the second comming. Besides I'm not totally up on my study of revelations but its my understanding that in the second comming Jesus will accend from heaven and defeat the forces of evil and saving Jerusalem. Meaning he probably wouldn't be "born"

A. Jesus assended into Heavan after He rose agian so we would not Be possible able to get any of His DNA B. We do not have the tecnoligy yet to totally clone people C. You would not be playing Jesus because this thing or person would not be Jesus because there is only one Jesus and He lives in heaven untill the end of time D.By you simply cloning part of His DNA (if this where even possible) you would be adding to the secound coming but you would not creat the secound comeing many things going on in are world right now are what is going to creat the secound coming. Besides the secound coming will be in Gods time not ours.

God/Jesus ,did not have human DNA ...genetics....just human flesh...HE was PERFECT ...in flesh...HE simply was born from a virgin.....but HE did not inherit from Seth and his sons,Mary, their imperfect genetics,dna.... we play God everyday...men do...but HE will not be 'mocked'.... it will never be.... and my Bible teachings of HIS COMING...ONCE ...not a second time..... don't mean to be rude...but just REFUSE to PLAY such unGodly what if's....:)thatsJustme

You can't have it both ways.. if you believe in christianity then yes cloning is playing god. Science and cloning is considered playing god by christianity in every other case.. you can't say a platter of fruit is forbidden and then take a bite. Have it one way or the other. It's either against god with you people or it isn't. Black and white my friend.

Uhh.... It could be the second coming in a crazy scifi way I suppose. Man, I really have no idea, but you get 6 points for asking the craziest question I have ever seen on answerbag.
-
Wow! I just realized another reason why God decided that Jesus's resurrected and glorified body should rise to heaven. God's wisdom is amazing. With love in Christ.
-
Isn't this very loosely what happened in Choke? To answer your question: I think that cloning in general is an act of playing God. I of course have more to say on the subject but I'm going to just leave it at that for now.

so this has been a worry of mine for some time,,, I wouldn't think of it as the second comming simply because a clone is farther away from the other clone than twins from the same egg, and they are not the same, but I have always wondered if that would be the way that we got the antichrist.... i know its far fetched and improbable but if it does come to fruition,,,then I would only be a little amazed and not shocked. ps we have some of Jesus DNA if the Shroud of Turin is accurate and really his burrial cloth. they have annalyzed that blood and found that it is AB+ (type of blood that can receive anybody elses) called the universal receiver. now this blood is incredibly old and dried but its still there. ps great question. +2

The opologists answer would be@ "It is God almighty, empowering the scientists to 'play god' and bringing about the Biblical prophesy, i.e., 'god's word' of Christ's second coming come true." [Never mind 'too little, too late'] * Good Q, BobSaccamano...,+6 sure to 'nuke' the believers by exposing their bluff. ;-))

Naw. Interesting question but no, because from a biblical viewpoint God would not allow it because it would not be as He wanted to happenand when.
-
I think it is a very elaborate scheme already.

Even if we could clone Jesus, the clone wouldn't be the same. Some scientists cloned a cat once, and not only did the clone not act like the original cat, but the two didn't even have the same colour fur.
