Is it true you should wait 3 months before trying to get pregnant after going off the pill? Or can you wait less?

I've heard that before, but many of my friends/relatives got pregnant the first month they went off of it and they never had any problems.

It took my girlfriend more than a year after she stopped taking the pill. She had been taking it for more than 10 years and it took forever to get out of her body. Everyone is different.

I got pregnant while on the pill!! I think the meaning behind waiting for 3 months is to make sure that it is out of your system... The doctor doesn't want you to try and get pregnant and get mad when it doesn't happen right away All because the pill was still in your system!!
