No take. It's not important.
-
George can invite or not invite anyone he wants to.
-
If I cared (which I don't) I might be tempted to ask Shatner how he could be so oblivious to the fact that NO ONE from Trek liked him.
-
I guess he really wasn't the best man there. Or he couldn't get the flight he wanted on "Priceline"

Bill needs these events to perpetuate the myth of his greatness. If he doesn't get out now and again to be seen by his adoring fans he feels like a regular Joe. He's a starship captain for creepers sakes, it's just not proper to get married and not invite him.
-
I think it's just a goofy tabloid story, but he ranted on his blog, and what else are blogs for if not to rant.
-
Since Takei states that they did invite him and Shatner has not bothered to show up to other important invents for his cast mates, I have to believe that Shatner is just being the egomanic that he usually is.

Shatner is a raving egomaniac and always has been. I'm sure that George invited him and of course Shatner refused as he always has. Most of the Start Trek cast used to get their cars fixed at my father's garage and body shop in Studio City, CA. They were the nicest people, so friendly, except for Shatner. He refused to give any autographs or his photo. The office used to have all sorts of photos from famous people that came there. He wanted my dad to remove all the other ST actors' photos because he wasn't up there but he refused to give his photo. He always wanted special treatment and was just so condescending to everyone. What a jerk he is!

I didn't see it, but I never question my god
-
Shatner is probably nearly eighty now. I'd say he is getting senile.
-
Shatner is being typical Shatner which is an A**.
