I'd prefer time off before hand to prepare. I'm a terrible procrastinator and not that extra time would necessarily cure me of this, it would make it easier to run around all crazy-like if I also didn't have to juggle clients! This would never happen, though. *sigh* Maybe I should just look at doing things according to a better schedule.

I like time after - the streets are empty, the roads are clear and we can take time to go where we want at a leisurely pace. You should see the empty streets of NEW YORK CITY December 25 and 26! Its awesome to be in the city!

My family and I don't like to put the focus of the holidays on material gifts or preparations. For us, the most important part of the holidays is that we are together with the ones we love. We usually have our decorations starting to go up around 2 or 3 weeks prior to the holiday and it becomes a relaxing and enjoyable family activity. Take care of all the little things early, and don't rush them and the bigger things will usually take care of them selves. Take the time to enjoy everything the holidays have to offer. Especially the time you have with your loved ones. Then take the time off after the holiday and relax. Refresh yourself, especially for the new year. Maybe a New Years resolution is in order. Happy Holidays to you and your family. -Yozhik
