no it is to save the lifeof the person in concerned
-
There is a tiny sting when the needle is inserted, but it's very brief and certainly not overwhelming.
-
No, but for me it is a little unsettling/uncomfortable. Had 2 operations in the last year, i was more worried about the damn I.V.!
-
Same difference. Especially if you get a Great plebotimist.
-
It's even easier to give blood to the lab than it is to donate blood at blood drives. They can use a butterfly needle if you ask (it's short and thin), and it's not in for very long. Good luck!
-
Only initially. It stops after like 2-3 seconds so its so much easier than you'd imagine to suck it up for a good cause.
-
It can. If the phlebotomist is a tool, they can cause your vein to bruise and bleed into your skin and that is painful at the site of the injection for months sometimes. If you have small or rolling veins like I do... Ask for a butterfly behind your hand, it is easier for the noobs to poke you and actually hit something.
-
ok yes it does...but i am a weenie when it comes to needles. I work in healthcare and i can do any vein no sweat. But I will tell you the truth......its a bigger stick when it comes to donating blood because they need a pint of blood. Its like using four needles in one casing.........BUT the pain is only for a few seconds and you will be saving someone's life. So please donate.
-
nah!...it doesn't hurt...and you are doing a good thing for others who depend on blood donations
-
It would hurt much worse if you or a loved one needed it and no one was donating because of a little needle in the arm. Remember The life your blood saves could be your own...
-
No, not at all -- and when it's over you get a free cookie and milk. What could be better? Give!
-
Its a stick hurts a couple seconds tops! really good cause your pain will not last that long but the thought of saving a life could sustain you for a while!
-
No, I just did it on Tuesday. It was so easy I'm going back again in December for the free pretzels.
-
Not more than getting a shot
-
not really, just think about the lives you could be saving, it'll make you feel real good!! : O )
-
only when the needle goes in the rest of the time it just uncomfortable. its a nice experience over all tho i give blood regually
-
Only for a moment, and not nearly as much as having someone you know die for lack of blood. I used to do it regularly, but I have very bad veins that even the blood bank couldn't stick and they finally told me not to come back. Even though it would routinely take 7 - 10 sticks, I kept going because it was so important. That is not normal. Most people they get on the first try. It is what they do for a living and they are very good at it. So it stings for a moment, and you get to save a family all the grief that comes with a life cut short.
-
I don't think so - not compared to the good feeling. Some people are afraid of needled, but it is just a tiny little pin prick in an area of the arm that is not very sensitive.
-
Not at all, and when all done the feeling of helping someone is so great
-
not much
-
not really...I think the finger prick for testing iron levels hurts the most personally...
-
it shouldnt hurt, you may feel an uncomfortable feeling where the needle sits in your vein, as well if you have difficult to find veins, that makes it a bit harder,
