Just keep thinking, and come up with ideas. And hopefully you won't get writers block.

I like to use worksheets and character interviews. There is a website http://writers-block-solution.com/ that has a downloadable manual with tips, tricks, and worksheets. That manual is a life saver when you can't get anywhere. Also I tend to like G.O.T.E sheets. You can Google that easily to find a copy. Outlining and overviewing are important. Know your beginning middle and end before you write, it will keep you from getting stuck, even if you change it all later. Sometimes I will imagine I'm sitting at a table across from my character. I am the journalist and they are the interviewee. You'd be surprised at how much you can find out about your character in a simple interview (likes, dislikes, favorite food, dreams, aspirations). And it was in your head the entire time. =)

On one of the books I'm working on, my ideas come like chapters. They are small and then I begin to build on that. Pretty soon I will have lots of chapters going. Then I put the chapters in order and began shaping my book. The best thing about learning to write is to write everyday. Pretty soon words will start coming easily, so just write, write, write..soon you will find your voice!
