I love Death Metal, but I am new to it.
What are some good bands?
I like Amon Amarth, Visceral Bleeding, Cradle of Filth, and some Dying Fetus.

Well, there are a few bands I like that are slightly similar: Therion; They recently split but they are Symphonic Metal. Very dark. Thomas Karlsson, is a pagan who is founder and head of the magical order Dragon Rouge. He practices the "left hand path" dark magic. He is the lyricist and writer of a lot of their songs though never really considered a "member" of the band. Their music is very beautiful and sad at times but others dark and monstrous. By far my favorite band. Moonspell; I'm listening to them right now! Lol. They are gothic and vampiric without being cliche. Very dark. My fiance likes Children of Bodom; they are his favorite. Also Iced Earth, In Flames, Everygrey, Tiamat, Blind Guardian, Draconian, and Dimmu Borgir. That's all I've got off of the top of my head. Some of them aren't considered "death metal" but they are in the same general area.
