"The Bible", containing 66 books Genesis to Revelation, the only book claiming to be the unequivocable Word of the Living God, tells exactly who satan is and exactly who Jesus is! The Book of Mormon, 1830, is a bible separate and different to the Christian/Jewish BIble. They believe God is an exalted man, but above all other gods, and produces "spirit children". They say, Jesus was a spirit until incarnate man provided a body for Him by procreation, thereby elevating Him to the level of deity (however, they conclude Jesus could not be a deity afterall, He never procreated). Lucifer (satan), is said to be a spirit too, thereby making him the "spirit brother" of Christ. They believe the same is true for their founder, Joseph Smith, Jr. (born Dec 23, 1805) who is now a god, creating and ruling on a separate planet (the ultimate reward for anyone). You can read who satan is (one of many places) in Isaiah 14:12-15. The Bible states he was the angel (created by God, Elohim, The Creator) of music and the most beautiful of all angels in God's heavens, who decided he wanted to be God. This angel, along with 1/3 of the angels who stood with him, was thrown out of heaven (Genesis 3:14-15), and stands condemned (John 12:10). Jesus, is the Christ, the Messiah, the one and only Son of God (John 3:16-21); who was given over to death as the ultimate sacrifice for each and everyone, and rose from the grave to bring eternal salvation to those who will believe! Matthew 28:18! You can read who He is as a man in human form on earth, in His geneology written in Matthew 1:1-16; then read who He is for YOU personally in Isaiah 53 thru Isaiah 66, also Matthew 22:41-46, Matthew 3:17, John 3:15-21. He came so that you could have life, and have it more abundantly!

Not that I know of. However, the lack of scriptures in the Bible to support this belief is not proof that it is not true. The Book of Mormon specifically tells us that many plain and precious truths would be removed from the Bible. To find support that this did indeed happen, I will refer you to Nick Read's answer to another question (http://www.answerbag.com/q_view.php/5118). He gives a pretty comprehensive list of the many books that the ancient Biblical writers considered to be authoritative that we do not have. There is no telling what was in these books. This doesn't prove our side of the argument, but it leaves an opening which excludes the absolute certainty that the ancient prophets and apostles didn't right about it. This, by the way, is one of the reason why we believe it was necessary for God to call new prophets in our day. With the lost portions of the Bible and the many different interpretations of the scriptures that we did have, it was necessary to reopen direct lines of communication with His children so that this confusion could be cleared up. Of course if you don't accept the prophetic call of Joseph Smith and his successors, than this is not going to help. I will also write this. I don't particularly like the way of wording this belief that is use in this question. It is invariably used to express this doctrine out of context and in a way that implies a relationship between the Savior and Satan that is unique and is often accompanied by a accusation that we are really closet devil worshippers. For clarification of this doctrine, I would refer you to my brother's answer to an earlier question on this in Answerbag forum. [Edited to add a few missing words.]

When someone proclaims the truth and even includes abundant biblical refrences for their answers, and the answers refute mormonism beliefs, why are they considered anti-mormon? I know... it is because the Bible does not support mormon beliefs! I pray that mormon search the scriptures (Bible) for the Truth! Everything that you need to know is in there. Another testament of Christ was not needed and is not referred to in the Bible at all. Ezekiel 37:15-23 does not in any way refer to the Bible AND the book of mormon being testaments of Christ. For biblical proof of this, you better read the context. God himself explains the reasoning behind the 2 sticks he told Ezekiel to bring together.

As members of the Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints, We have more than just the Bible to rely on, we have more Scriptures that answer Questions that are not answered in the Bible alone... Abraham 3:23-28 http://scriptures.lds.org/abr/3 Click on the links in the scripture to cross refference

When it talks about the creation and before the creation it talks about how Lucifer wanted to be the ruler of the world but Jesus Christ wanted to follow Heavenly Fathers rules and was obedient to him.

What blasphemy to the Lord to say that Jesus and Satan are brothers. they say this because they do not believe that Jesus is God. The fact that any mormon cannot argue with is in Revelations 22:18-19 " For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book." Josheph Smith added to Gods word obviously and then said it was from God.God warned us about this. The bible was around before the book of Mormon! So it is impossible to say that God's word was not finished! He said not to add to it and he obviously knew people would try to do that. That is what the Mormons have done ! That is one good indication that this is not the Same gospel of Christ. God Also said "Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do. (I Timothy 1:4) But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes.'' (II Timothy 2:23) It is pointless to argue with people that are decieved. Unless they desire the truth then we can do nothing for them but pray.

Yes there is. Isaiah 14:12 "How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning!" we learn in Isaiah that Lucifer is a son of someones. So whose son is he??? Eph. 4: 6 One God and a Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. In Ephesians we learn that god is the father of all. so whether it sounds blasphemous or not he is the father of Lucifer. And we know the Jesus is the Son of God therefore since jesus and Lucifer are sons of god they are brothers. If you disagree with this then please tell me who created Lucifer. God created Hitler and Many other evil children. He gives us all free will to behave how we wish.

Only when Lucifer is talked about. He was the fallen Angel. Like the yucky cat in Cinderella named Lucifer!

I agree that it is possible that there are entire books of the bible that have been misrepresented or written out of the Bible over time. However we are to look to God for the answers that we seek, not to another sinner, no matter how revered they may be in our religious society. God created heaven and earth and man was made in His image. Jesus taught tolerance and acceptance of all life. It makes no sense to judge another for their beliefs while being offended by their judgement of yours. As I remember Jesus was not one to go around beating people over the head with religion. They were given the chance to accept the love of the Father through the son. (Jesus Christ not Satan) I do recall the mention of "many false prophets" ......

No..the devil originally was one of the highest Angels..but as God gave us free will, he also gave the angels free will ..Lucifer was jealous that God loved us , he did not think we were worthy of God's grace so he also having free will...took it to the extreme,, he would rather have us destroyed..jealousy basically

No but there are lots of extra bible ideas!

There are some biblical scriptures to support the notion but none which I would call diffinitive: "Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them. " Job 1:6 Since God has only one physical Son and since this scripture was written before the birth of that son, the referance to "the sons of God" must mean something differant than physical sons, spiritual sons as referanced in Hebrews 12: 9. Surely none would argue that Christ is spiritual son of God as much as any of us, this scripture suggests that Satan is a spiritual son as well. Two spiritual sons of the same Father would in essense be spiritual brothers. "How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning!..." Isaiah 14:12 Lucifer or Satan once resided in Heaven and was a "son of the morning" He was cast out for transgression "God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment" 2 Peter 2:4 "the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day." Jude 1:6 Other angels were also cast out of heaven.

Actually there is..Col.1;15 we read.."Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:" Immediately we know every creature was actually born, Jesus Christ being the first. Now all we have to decide is, was Satan a creature or some form of vegetation? In Isaiah, we read..(14;12-16.."How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! 13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: 14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. 15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. 16 They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;" In verse 12 he is called "The son of the morning" and in verse 16 he is referred to as "a man that made the earth tremble." These do not describe a plant, so according to the Bible Satan was also a creature. And we have already seen that every creature was born, not created as some think, with Jesus being the first. That means Jesus and Satan were among all the creatures of God and therefore they were spiritual brothers. And since you only asked for a bible reference, I have given you a reference from the Bible. You can choose to refuse to accept that part of the Bible if you want, it is certainly your choice...Later

Yes there is: . Isa. 14: 12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! . Job 1:6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them. . Job 2:1 Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the Lord. . Satan, AKA Lucifer, was a son of the morning. That is to say one of the first son. Who’s son? God’s. . And Sons of the same father are brothers, so that Satan was indeed a brother to Jesus, and as we are also children of God, then we were also brothers and sisters to both of them.
