How do you properly categorize a question? I never can find the specific categories I want.

    Go to the most logical port of call, usually does the trick. If it is way out of place, a question will be moved. but indeed, when in doubt, go to outside the bag!

    i have the same problem, so i just put it under Outside The Bag

    If all else fails, I put it one of the Outside the Bag sub-categories but nine times out of ten, it can be put elsewhere. Just a matter of getting to know the categories and sub-categories.

    Generally I do a search for questions with similar key words, select the category that they are in and then post the question. That usually saves time from hunting blindly in general categories or having to post a question in a random section.
