Why do ghosts Haunt us what is the reason for it

Some people say that they're not really haunting people, they're just residual energies left over from a former life. Malicious encounters may be something different, and I don't even want to think about why something like a poltergeist would be malicious or mischievous.

Oh my word i so agree with lol .. And poltergiests are the ones that like to throw things around and move things i think that they are Some what evil In a Way and some of them are just there because they are wanting to mess around with you and make you really Scared ! just wanted to know why ghosts would haunt you cause i have one and its scareing the living day lights outa me cause it keeps turning the lights on and off and moveing things but the moveing of things only happend once but was very scary ... so i was just wondering why ! ?

I don't see what a ghost could do that wouldn't be "haunting". Even a ghost that just sits around doing nothing is said to be "haunting". Of course, since ghosts probably aren't real this isn't really a problem.

There are no such things as Ghosts, "Holy" or otherwise.
