  • That depends entirely on the condition of the subject vehicle. A "Monte Carlo" Z28 is worth a fortune. (I take it you mean a CAMERO Z28. If it is a piece of junk, very little. If it is better than factory-fresh, top dollar. For Cameros go here ... http://www.thirdgen.org/techboard/ For Monte Carlos go here ... http://www.montecarloss.com/community/ubbthreads.php
  • (monte carlo was NOT offered in a z28 pkg)1983 monte carlo ss $5700(automatic),$7000 (4 spd) Average Retail Value This vehicle would be in good condition overall. It could be an older restoration or a well-maintained original vehicle. Completely operable. The exterior paint, trim, and mechanics are presentable and serviceable inside and out.
  • Sorry you guys, LOL. I had the Camero Z28 on my mind, however my question was talking about the Monte Carlo SS. I guess I had a blonde moment. LOL! I have a 83 SS All original, no rust. I was thinking about re-painting it, but then I run across the delima of it not having the original paint. It's not rusted but at the same time it doesn't have the shine it used to. What do you guys recommend? Re-Paint or NO?
  • I would assume that it is "priceless". The z28 package was only for Camaro's and not for Monte Carlo's. However, if you had the Monte Carlo SS ('83 was the first year of the return of the SuperSport since the '72 Nova. There were 4,714 made in 1983. I've found the online for as little at $8K and as much as $35k depending on the condition.
