  • I've always used Jergen's All Purpose Face Cream. The container looks a bit outdated, but I think it works great for removing all makeup including waterproof and long lasting lipstick.
  • That depends on what your skin type is (normal, oily, combination, dry , etc.). And what type of cosmetics you use (i.e., do you wear waterproof mascara that is harder to remove than non-waterproof?). Good is a subjective term without more details. I tend to favor Neutrogena products and they make a good makeup remover cloth (below from their package): They are called Neutrogena Make-up Remover Cleansing Towelettes and run about $7-8 at the local drugstore. Gentle, ultra soft cloths offer you superior cleansing and make-up removal. -Gently and effectively dissolve all traces of dirt, oil and make-up. -Patent pending technology is so effective it easily removes waterproof mascara. -Leaves skin thoroughly clean with no heavy residue, so there's no need to rinse. Use daily for clean, fresh, make-up free skin in 1 easy step. Gentle enough to use around sensitive eye area, even for contact lens wearers. Ophthalmologist tested Dermatologist tested Allergy tested Alcohol free Hope this helps :)
  • There's one called Ultra Bland made by Lush that looks like something you'd use to cook with but removes everything in its path. Apparently Courtney Love uses it too, and she wears a LOT of make up. Unlike a lot of the best cleansers its good for sensitive skin too. see www.lush.co.uk If you're feeling like a bit of a cheapskate, my own close second make up remover is pure sweet almond oil (the main disadvantage is that it can be a bit messy and you tend to waste a lot by spilling it) rub about a teaspoonful on your face, remove with cotton wool and then rinse with water- it even dissolves mascara. You can pick it up in a health or aromatherapy shop fairly cheap.
  • I simply use vegatable oil. Most people have it handy in the kitchen and it is way cheaper than using a name brand remover. Just dab some on a cotton ball or paper towel and rub it on your face, or even eyes. It does not hurt your eyes and gets rid of mascara well. Just be sure to rinse your face after or your skin will be a bit greasy.
  • I've tried them all and the best is Clarins Instant Eye Makeup Remover - Demaquillant Express. This takes off everything!
  • i find if i want to clean my makeup off in a hurry , that 'simple facial wipes' are excellent, even for hard eye makeup, very good wipes!!!
  • did i forget to mention that nivea have an excellent eye makeup remover that is great on the budget too.
  • i actually have very very sensitive skin too. try to go with natural products or try dove unsented as a face wash, you can even try asking the chemist, what brands have you tried?
  • My favorite is the Cleanser from Arbonne Cosmetics... A Swiss Skincare that is formulated in Switzerland but made in the United States. This is one of the best squeaky clean cleansers that I've tried. You soap it up with water, and it does not strip the skin like a number of other products. -------- Ideally, you should also follow the soap or cleanser you use with a "toner" or a product like Witch Hazel or Seabreeze to remove ALL traces of makeup. Very often you will find that although your skin feels squeaky clean after using soap or a cleanser...when you use a cotton ball with the toner, you will still see traces of makeup that are finally removed. This is the only way to make sure that your skin is completely free of every last trace of your makeup.
