Didn't check today yet. Yesterday it was $3.14 at our local Dairy Queen (yep..they sell gas too)! Now, California has the highest rates in the nation generally due to EPA rules for emissions that other states don't have. A few months ago we paid $4.69/gallon. So, gas does down, why aren't food prices going down commensurately? I'll tell you why..this just gives the big boys more profit, that's why! The bums! :( :)

You're reading 10/22/08 - How low are gas prices in your area? ($2.399 in Minnesota)

Gosh Rosie, prices are continuing to collapse. I just saw a $2.19 ... but nearly ALL stations are now under $2.29 today (10/23/08). Hopefully yours are as well.

I hope so, Scott. Wow..$2.19? Didn't think we'd ever see that again. I believe I heard yesterday that oil closed at below $70/barrel. Apparently world demand (including China) is dropping because of the world-wide economic crisis..great! Jobs are disappearing, people are losing their homes, insurance, ability to live their normal lives and gas is finally getting back to being "affordable". Great. Swell. Hunky dorry. Do you think the volatility of the stockmarket will settle anytime soon? Happy Friday, my friend! :) ((hugs))

Don't count your chickens ... OPEC is planning on dramatically reducing production. Those bastards.
Happy Friday. ;-)

The past few days (11/5-11/8) I have seen most stations at $1.929 to $1.979. The highest price for regular that I noticed at #2.049

We're not there yet, Scott..last we saw it was $2.45 yesterday. I can't believe that we were paying $4.69 a few months ago. The gas price dive would be great..except, more and more jobs are disappearing, more bailouts appear on the horizon (Franklin Bank in Houston and Security Pacific Bank in L.A. were taken over by the Fed a couple of days ago)...retail sales are abysmal and are projected to only get worse. I don't know my friend..what's on tap for next week, I wonder? :)
