Bees have made a bee hive in a bird house we have ..which is connected to a light pole in our back yard....when the winter comes can we take the bird house down..or do we have to call a professional bee person...

If I was in that situation I would definitely get a professional, especially if you have a large amount of bees. Last summer I had a small hive on my porch and I knocked it down with a broom and received 2 stings that hurt like you know what right on my neck. That taught me a lesson to "stay away from bees"!

wait until night time and spray the bird house with fly spray...if you can slip an insect killer inside...that will do the trick
