Where are you going? Hmmm, I'm not the best cook, so I better not try to help you on this one :) PB&J always works when the pantry is bare.

Potatoes...You can fry them, or make mashed potatoes Tuna...Cans of tuna arent that expensive and they are good for you! Hotdogs...they have some that are cheap and good tasting.

pasta . you can get spaghetti and sauce for $1.50 and it last you for 2-3 meals..the sauce can be refrigerated. If you use tomato sauce, it's only 25 cents. Hot dogs /beans and weinies (1.00).. get a package of lunchmeat and loaf of bread (2.00 at most).

Here are two excellent meals for about $3.00 each. A bunch of romain lettuce, two ounces of walnuts, two ounces of shredded almonds, two sliced carrots, one half lb pearl onions, one chopped tomato, and one very large whole wheat walnut/raisin muffin. You can get a similar meal by buying one large can of Progresso soup, a large walnut/raisin muffin, and an apple.

Regular beans and corn tortillas. Both together provide complete protein. If you have tomatoes, onions, and garlic, make a fresh salsa to go with it. Even canned tomatoes will work.

Oh, dear. Ramen noodles are so not good for you. Do you have a health food store nearby? Do you ever cook from scratch? Barley is a far better nutritional source. If you couple that with beans you get a complete protein source which includes all 8 amino acids. The green beans are okay..but far better nutritionally would be broccoli, kale, spinach. In my neck of the woods green beans (the fresh ones) are very expensive. So if you could switch to barley/bean and broccoli you'd really be doing your body a favor.

Eggs Bread and Potatoes are versatile ha!

I saute any vegetable I have on hand or in the freezer, add a bouillon cube or two, an onion, celery and carrot (if I have them) and add water. I simmer it all and add pasta (any kind I have) or rice. It makes a tasty meat-free meal, kind of like soup. Or, how about making an omelet out of whatever you have handy? Hopefully cheese is in your fridge!
