no its totally not against the law! that is like exactly my relationship because i was 16 and he was 18 and normally if her parents know this then nothing can happen if you have their consent which is a good thing to have anyways. but this one is wierd because me and my bf were dating 9 months and i found out that he did a 14 year old while i am in germany and has been dating another girl since even before i left.so i hope you treat this girl good because normally at 16 the girls are way more attached to older boys as well.

Once you hit the age of 18, it became illegal. Theu don't do grey in teh justice department. SO, be careful. As long as her parents are cool with it and you are not in a position of being her boss or teacher... you should be fine.

I can only tell you about FL law, and in Florida, the age of consent is 16. You can be up to 22 and be with a 16 year old and there is nothing illegal about it. I would check your state laws, everybody has a differetn set of laws, and I would hate for you to become a 'sex offender' somewhere else.

In general, no it isn't illegal. Most statutory rape laws require an age difference greater than 4 years, and in most places the age of consent is 16.

1 1/2 or 2 years difference is not statutory rape. It's to little of a difference to even matter.

It's not wrong, or against the law. The age of consent in the US (where I'm guessing you live) is 16, and besides, that's really just a guideline as long you don't tell anyone. People become sexually active at different ages - I was ready for sex as young as eleven, but some aren't ready for any kind of sexual act well into adulthood.

No one can really answer this correctly unless you said where you lived. and dont listen to false information because the person who said in the U.S its 16 is the worst information EVER. its different in every state in the U.S. I live in NY and here a 18 year old had sex with a 17 year old and got ARRESTED. its completely stupid, but thats how things are. Search where you live.

I Live in Indiana and i can very well relate to this topic. I will be 18 in a month and ive been dating my girlfriend for one year. shes 16 now but it is court ordered on her behalf that she is not to have any contact with me. Her parents knew me before but are not aware of our relationship now, Im pretty sure the court ordered part would make it illegal, but does this mean i would also get in trouble?
