  • I'm not anti-abortion for religious reasons; I'm anti-abortion for logical reasons.
  • Biblical beliefs like what...that murder is wrong?! Ok so lets make murder legal! There is no difference!
  • I am atheist so religious has nothing to do with it. I am against it cause it's murder. By the time a women has an abortion, that fetus already has fingers, toes and feels pain and usually has a heartbeat. MURDER.
  • The debate, in my opinion, would continue, with or with out religion. As a society, we have determined that the taking of life must be regulated. If we didn't, people could kill at will, and as we all know, that doesn't work out so well. Once we've made that determination, what naturally follows is the determination of when life begins, whether we deem it to be sacred by religious standards or not, the arguement remains. When does human life begin, and under what circumstances is it acceptable, to extinguish that life? In this context, it is a human rights issue, independent of religion. So I'm afraid we're stuck with resolving the questions regarding abortion, even with out factoring in religious beliefs.
  • i dont base it on biblical beliefs at all. i just think that a life deserves a chance to live, like i do. not be terminated by some obviously irresponsible woman.
  • I am against abortion because it is killing an innocent child.
  • exactly and the fact is the church in america has very strong ties to the white house. religious people consider their beliefs a way of life and instead of being grateful they can worship how they please free of persecustion in this country, they feel it is their purpose in life to impose their beliefs upon a ehole nation....kinda funny in a sense that they want to escape persecution yet want to impose a religion upon people when they would freak out if another religion was being imposed upon them. Abortion shouldn't be argues, it should be the free choice of every woman..if you are religious and dont believe in it..don't do it. If you do think abortion is ok and need onewell go do it, and everyone should just shut their mouths about the issue from there on.
  • I think they should leave the issue alone. The decision has been made and is legal. Why carry it on for endless years.Abortion will happen at the same rate, if it is legal or not and if it was illegal there would be danger for the mother during the process.
  • It's not biblical at all. Some see a baby as a baby as soon as it is conceived. I can understand that they view that child the same way I view my daughter. Then some of us see a start that could be a baby, but isn't one yet and will not become one as long as you take it out of its environment. That is why abortion is still argued. It is a passionate subject.
  • Like many seem to agree here, it's murder and has nothing to do with the Bible. But, as far as separation of church and state, the purpose and intent of the originators was to keep the state from dictating to religion. They did not mean that religion should have no say in state. They prayed fervently and called on God for his help and guidance in all things, especially the running of this country.
  • It's not Biblical at all. Read up on the law and what Separation of Church and State is, was and was meant to mean.
  • I think abortion is wrong but I also think it's wrong to force someone to carry it around for 9 months. Before abortion was something you could have done, a lot of women died trying to do it themselves.
  • Am I reading this question wrong or are you actually saying that 'abortion is based on biblical beliefs and violates the separation of church an state? Woe....hold me back!
