Step 1: Burn yourself. The End :) Edit: How the hell else do you become a Satanist? You just go do it. Reach out to other idiots. Edit: In respect to the rights people have and the beliefs they maintain I take back my previous answers. I'll leave them up so comments can still make sense. Satanism is something unknown to me and is also something I have no interest in following. It may be a surprise to everyone that the rules guiding Satanism are those that we, unknowingly, already go by. For example: lex talionis - Basically, do unto others as they do unto you. So... my bad. To explain my point before... this is what I was thinking: Satan = Evil + death + destruction + all things horrible. Any faith in root with my impression of Satan is just plain stupid. If Satanism is what I learned of it today then... sadly, we've been following the rules.

You are born one : ) Naa, you can't really 'become' a Satanist, in the same way that you can't really 'become' a member of any Religion... You feel it deep inside, and usually, it is a feeling you have had since you were born. I spent the first 15 years of my life feeling one way, but being told I had to be a Christian, then I found the Satanic Bible and just went "Woah... This is EXACTLY how I've felt for my whole life!" Some say that Satanism is more of an attitude than a religion as well, if that were the case, it's even harder to 'become' a Satanist, you can just agree with what it is about, or what it teaches :)

I believe if you go to The Joy of Satan group or website, they have a ritual you could do. (At least they did when I was a memeber a few years back).

Get out and meet like-minded people and ask them if you can join them.

You are born a Satanist, but you don't really know you are one until you study the religion. But one really should read the Satanic Bible before declaring that they're a Satanist. Ave Satanas! :]

Just understand that you need only two things to be a Satanist. Honesty, and intelligence.

Nobody is "born" a satanist. Nobody is born thinking "I must reject mainstream religion and embrace materialism!" Your personality develops and changes based on the decisions you make. You're not born into your religion. Anyone who believes in any kind of divine destiny is wrong. It's worse than wrong, I think it's a cop out for wusses who don't want to take responsibility for their life. If they can convince themselves they didn't choose any of their beliefs, they don't have to take the blame when their values get them in trouble.

It's easy! Just commit to Satan as your God. Say your commitment out loud and MEAN IT ! I did and I've never regretted it. I'm very open about it, because I'm damn proud of it! Satan is an awesome God, so do it!
