  • It doesn't fucking matter what the police was doing, you will be ticketed if you're caught breaking the law.
  • I think you should contact Attorney General in this matter.
  • Its not illegal for the officer to issue you a citation.
  • It is not illegal for the police to ticket you when you are doing something illegal. If you are thinking entrapment, you are incorrect on this count.
  • Not at all. I have a friend that is a cop and I've asked him all about this. A cop can pretty much jump out of a bush, stop your car, and give you a ticket if he really wants to.
  • Nope. Cops don't have to have their cars lighted.
  • You were breaking the law. The reason the speed limit was 45 is for safety issues. Now you expect to pass on the responsibility to a cop who was trying to protect other drivers from people like you. Cops don't have to announce their presence everytime someone breaks the law. If the criminals know where the cops are they would just go elsewhere. --Not that I like cops, but you're 100% wrong by not taking responsiblity for your behavior.
  • Nowhere that I know of makes officers leave lights on or park in view of everyone when trying to catch traffic offenders, but it really doesn't matter because the cruiser could be in the middle of the road with the lights and siren on and people would still speed and disobey other traffic laws. Those same people would be indignant when issued a citation, and say to their friends that the cop should have been out busting real criminals or something like that. I submit to you that if you are breaking a traffic LAW, then you are, to a certain extent, a criminal. I have one surefire way of never getting another citation for you...DON'T BREAK ANY TRAFFIC LAWS!
