  • We all are. This whole country is in a nasty depression. Just hold on to the thought that there are millions of people in America and someone is BOUND to have it worse than you.
  • If it helps any, I've heard that the average amount of time it takes someone to find new work after a layoff or being fired is 4 months. With the economy the way it is, I wouldn't be surprised if that's stretching.
  • Think outside of the box. I have a feeling that you are going to do something that you never thought of. Have you tried a temp agency? The end of October is bringing big changes for alot of people.
  • think of i as time to do things that you couldn't do when you were working. don't watch to much tv thats to depressing,look for work and take anything to get you through while something better comes along and it will. relax. being to intense about looking just makes you seem desperate and is sometimes detrimental to getting hired. I got fired from a real good job when my daughter was five 2 weeks before christmas, my husband sufferes from depression (he was no support) I took a crappy job only working 15-20 hours a week. it was tough. but now I am th head of the department. hang in there. everything changes for a reason if you keep your eyes and mind open...it'll all be good.
