If Obama doesn't allow jobs to go to different countries, won't that affect the supply and demand, and also up prices in return for things that are made by us...just to keep jobs in the US?

Done in Moderation can be a good thing, Most importantly WE should take care of ourselves FIRST- Jobs, Homelessness and Health. Currently we Export lots of Raw materials and they are still sent back and sold- the whole thing tends to balance itself but if we want to support our produts then look for the "Made in U S A" label.

If I understand the premise of your question - my read is Obama makes that call by himself with his standards then I would then ask you which you would rather have jobs or cheap things to buy? I would contend that Obama or few others have proposed such a reversal in trade policy. What I do hear is that all trade deals to be fair: should have ptotection for those who labor wherever the product is being made, protection for the enviorment and goverment tariffs should be equal from country to country amoung other concerns.
