I thought he said his grandma used to say that, to him. I guess in a way telling America, not just young people, to vote.

He was quoting his grandparent who was being facetious.

It was a quote that came, I believe, from his grandma. I think this was aimed at everyone, not just the young. Times are really shaky now, and it's more important than ever to vote. I've known people that have never voted, and then complain about who got elected or what bill was passed. My thought (and a lot of others agree) is that if you don't vote, you can't complain. You also cannot make a difference. My supervisor, who is in her late 30s, just admitted to never having voted before, but this year, she is going to vote. Every vote can make a difference if everyone would just get out there and do it!

No, for it is just what old timers do when they are trying to be charming and end on a good note. It is better than a longer story. Count yo blessings!

You are reading something into it that wasn't there. He said that was what his grandmother or somebody like that told him. I thought it very cute. Happy Friday! :) Why would he make a dig at anyone? Digs don't work, except when they backfire! :)

it was a call for action. i think those types of messages are sometimes better received if delivered in a humorous manner ~ and i believe that statement was bobs attempt at humor. something his grandmammy used to say supposedly. whether or not it resonates with the joe six pack couch potatoes out there, the cynical nonvoters, and the apathetic young voters remains to be seen.
