The first thing I'd check is the coil. When they start to go bad, they have a habit of breaking down when they get hot. Since it runs for a bit before stopping, it could be that when the engine heats up, it's causing the coil to break down. Of course, there could be other causes, too, but that's what comes to mind first.

try testing the ignition model i had an 86 model that did the same thing and thats what it was pandabear
