Do most people hide behind veils and not show their true emotions and thoughts, or is there realy nothing more to these people than what I see?

Yes, most people hide behind layers of protection. I used to have fortresses around me. Now they are just walls. :) We all have our core hurts, fears, and things that we protect about ourselves. I protect many aspects of myself that have been previously hurt or exploited.

Everyone is different, and it is hard to judge. Also, being more emotionally and intellectually mature than most, it's harder to understand other people who seem so shallow, guarded etc. Truth is there is probably a lot more to them than you anticipate

I do in life in general, ( as the song says... " a fortress,steep and mighty. that none may pennitrate,I have no need of friendship, for friendship causes pain, it laughter and its loving I distaine" I am a rock.... I am an island. and a rock feels no pain and an island never cries... ***but where no one knows me like answerbag i can be me. I write what i feel,mean and think, I write about my life s troubles and some things actualy make me cry, when i go back and read some of my answers about my family or brothers death or other things, i actually get tears running down my face...in current life and at work and in general yes I hide everything. but on the net or here I can be me! HEY YOU ASKED !!so I spilled ! ;)
