Yes..but this poison chalice has been passed on for a long time..This mess contrary to popular belief, is not something that has just sprung up in the last few years..it's been a very long time in the making..I feel sorry for the next prez..he will have his work cut out for him..:)

Many presidents have had crises to deal with...FDR had the bank crisis of the 30s, the Depression, Nazi Germany, imperialist Japan, and World War II...Harry Truman had the Manhattan Project, and he and Dwight Eisenhower had the Korean War...Bush had the 9/11 terrorist attacks...Carter and Reagan had the Iran hostage crisis...Lincoln had secession and the Civil War...LBJ and Nixon had Vietnam...JFK had the Bay of Pigs and the Cuban missile crisis...Gerald Ford had the aftermath of Watergate...Theodore Roosevelt had the big business trusts and the Spanish-American War...Woodrow Wilson had Weimar Germany and World War I...John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, and Andrew Jackson all faced national bank issues...just to name a few... In other words, what else is new?
