Does anybody here have pet health insurance? How much does it cost you per month and has it been worth it?

I tried to get pet insurance and the cost was ridiculous. For my dog at his age of 2 (when I got him) and his breed it would have costed me $50.00 a month and then it was not going to cover basic shots, etc In the long run, it's cheaper to save that money for when ur pet gets sick. (If your pet has any health condition at all you can't get insurance ..actually I could but the cost jumped to $100.00 a month with an outrageous plan.) It was like a $50.00 ded. per visit and the whole visit never costed more than $100.00 so.. I was basically losing money. Even my vet said it was a waste of money. The only way it would benefit you is if you took it out and then your pet got heart disease or cancer or something and the bills were in the thousands but those plans have a maximum per year benefit too.
