In the spirit of best seen instead of a text list of titles? Here's a link to an online exhibit at the Museum of Science in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. It's called "Leonardo da Vinci: Scientist Inventor Artist" We've all heard of his paintings "The Last Supper" and "Mona Lisa". But there's so much more. Besides his paintings, there are sketches in his notebooks .. artistic .. and scientific .. and yes, ideas for inventions. His mind saw connections and thus, didn't pidgeon-hole art from science. Insatiable curiosity. If we think about it - an "inventor" mechanically - is similar to the ARTIST who creates something "new" on a blank canvas as a matter of course! Both give us something that has never been. Here's the exhibit: http://www.mos.org/leonardo/
