Are Christmas crackers a tradition for you at Christmastime? or are they just an English tradition?

Yes, you may be right. In my country Christmas is not celebrated with this fanfare of crackers.

Where else would we get our paper hats. We have to get them from Britain, though - they certainly aren't sold here in Spain.

I'm Australian, and we have enjoyed Christmas crackers for as long as I can remember. Christmas lunch just wouldn't be the same without them (and their really, really bad jokes) :)

They have become more popular here in Canada in the last couple of decades. We never had them at home when I was a child, though.
