No, it just feels that way because you have no basis for comparison yet. After your 2nd or 3rd, you'll have an easier time moving on.

I'll always love my first love. Beer.

I think that you will always hold a place in your heart for them. I am currently dating my first love again. We dated 15 years ago & ran into each other about 8 months ago & just picked up where we left off. Funny how life works. You never know what might happen but I do think you will never forget them.

It's been more than 20 years, and I still love my first love... more now than ever before. She and I are in contact. We're both married, but we both love each other so strongly, still. It never faded for either of us... even though we went years and years without knowing where the other was. You can move on, most definitely, and have a life outside and beyond your first love... But, if it really is a deep, true love... it may always stay with you. It's up to you to decide how you want to live your life in the future. My suggestion... keep the friendship, and try to get past the pull. As you move on through your life, each love you have will leave a little part of them with you... The question you ask yourself 10 years from now, is... can you think of that love and each love, and just shrug it off... knowing you took from it experience and growth. But, if you can't just shrug it off, then you know there was something truly special about that love. And, if that's the case... well... keep that person close as you go through life. You never know... But always keep your eyes open. And never, ever get tunnel vision. Just my 2 pennies.

If they end mutually how can they last forever? This one, my friend, gets a 10 in the Stupidometer

It depends on the person. Just because it was the first person you loved, doesnt mean it is the only person youll truely love. Life will move on an situations will change. ~+~

I'm 15, I have a bf and we've been going out for a month and 14 days now. He's 17. He already asked me to marry him lol. And I said yes because I am commited to him. He actually does well in school, wants to have a successful future, treats me really good, and my parents really like him. He said I'm the only one he wants to be with forever, and I know we will be. I know what you're thinking, I'm only 15 and have years and years ahead of me to think about that. I don't want to date anyone else at all. He's the first guy out of all my relationships that has actually showed me what love is. I know you wouldn't understand because of my age, but it's true. =) First loves can last forever.

I still love my first love. Not in the same way that I did when we were together, but he has a special spot in my heart.
