If you work at a store that sells lottery tickets, can you buy lottery tickets from that store?

    Depends on the store policy. I worked at a drug store that was independantly owned. They sold lottery tickets and you could buy them if your were an employee. The store was sold to a corp. and their rule was you can buy the tickets but you had to have a different employee run the ticket machine. Scratch offs could not be purchased or played during work hours.

    You can in Australia. The lottery system is randomized by a central system - thus there is no risk of rigging the numbers just because you work for a place that sells the tickets. I reckon if your lottery is state approved then you should be OK to buy tickets.
    I have only heard of this condition being applied to competitions, not lotteries.
