My Mother buys me shoes whether I ask her to or not. I probably have a good 20 or 30, maybe more if you include sandles. I don't know why =P I only wear like 2 different sandles, and like 2 of my tennies. (And a dress shoe every so often.)

I have one pair of black suede, one pair of sand suede, one pair black leather formal, one pair brown leather formal, one pair brown casual, one pair trainers for the gym, one pair 'smart' trainers, one pair brown leather boots, one pair brown suede boots. So that's 9 pairs. I'm a guy by the way.

About 30 pairs of shoes. Mostly heels (incl heeled sandals), about 5 pairs of sneakers, 4 pairs of various sports shoes, 2 pairs of very good flip flops, and 3 pairs of boots.

One pair of shoes, one pair of trainers, one pair which I'm not really sure whether they would be classed as trainers or shoes as they are sort of the love-child of the two, plus an old pair of trainers which are only used for jogging and look very attractive, as I cut my foot out running and by the time I got home one trainer was soaked in blood and it never fully washed out, so one is (off) white, and the other is half red, half (off) white. Which is lovely.

Since you invited men, I have one pair if high heeled cowboy boots (I am from Oklahoma, ya know), two pairs of dress shoes, brown and black, a pair of engineer work boots, two pairs of sneaker types, a pair of winter rubber boots, and always a good comfortable pair of house shoes...(smile).

I own over 20 pairs and I still find I don't have a pair to suit every outfit. I think it is just like any other peice of clothing, it needs to suit your outfit. Though 75% of mine are black, black goes with everything

Probably about 10. I'm a sneaker type of girl - the type that wears them long past their prime. I like the look of heels for certain occasions, but am not too graceful in them!

My favorites are my black low-cut Chucks cause they are comfortable, and go with pretty much everything.

8 pairs total ---- here are the details:
I have 2 casual pairs (good for both work & regular life) that I alternate each day, so they can dry out in between. I also have 2 spare pairs still in boxes for when these die.
For specialty shoes, I have 2 pairs of sandals, and just ordered special shoes for dance class. And I almost forgot, I have a pair of snow boots that gets worn maybe once every 3 years, on the rare occasion that we get a few feet of snow.
