  • Reverse psychology is the term that describes the outcome where advocacy of one course of action persuades someone to do the opposite. It is basically making virtue out of necessity. wikipedia.org
  • I guess an easy way to explain it is as follows: I will tell my son to do something and he will tell me no. Then I will tell him not to do it and then he will do it. So I will tell him not to do it to make him do it. Does that help? or is it as clear as mud? Hope it helped.
  • Reverse Psychology is when you say something/do and it persuades someone else to do the opposite of what you said. Such as if someone that likes to annoy you could say: I hate people that talk with their mouth full. and if they heard you and they were eating they might start talking with their mouthful.
  • ok i get it now thanks
  • it is when someone says for example lets just say that you said to someone, i hate it when people wear the color purple and then the next day they wear the color purple. that is what reverse psycology is and to put it short, it means when someone does the opposite of what to tell them to.
  • Its committing an act, whether civil, criminal or just something to your spouse and because of your act, you blame someone else for your actions. like, its their fault you committed this act. My daughter was very good at this, until my wife and i called her number and faced her with the facts of reverse psychology. did it work? maybe. She now blames someone else, not her parents.
  • You don't want me to explain that.
  • have you ever watched bugs bunny? when elmer fudd goes to shoot bugs - and convinces him not to - generally along the lines of this "i'm going to shoot you" "no you'r not" "i'm gonna shoot you" "i'm gonna shoot you" "no i'm not" essentially that is a very broad way of putting it - but that is reverse psychology.
