What can you do if you have a friend who doesn't trust you, even though you've been nothing but trustworthy and have given no reason for said friend NOT to trust you?

It takes time for people who have been betrayed a lot to trust anyone. There really isn't anything you can do except to keep showing that you are trustworthy. Eventually, they'll meet you halfway and realize that there is nothing to fear from you.
