I read it in a textbook in like 6th grade. this boy lives on an island. he sees the native boys out swimming every day, and notices that they jump into the water on one side of a cliff (penninsula, lagoon, etc?)... and emerge on the other. he investigates, and finds an underwater tunnel leading from one side to the other. he practices holding his breath and making it as far through the tunnel as he can, which causes nose bleeds and lightheadedness. he eventually makes it through. what is this story called?
