  • till #&!! freezes over. the police have the amazing power to do what ever they feel like doing and $cr&w anyone who gets in the way. for example: i offend see police cars flip on their sirens when approaching a red light, zip thru without stopping and turn them right back off on the other side of the intersection. unless you catch them on tape and hit the media before they make you walk in to a door a few times and then they destroy said tape
  • As long as it's considered to be part of an investigation, basically forever.
  • No, not forever. At least not in NH, and I'll bet not in your state. In NH the law says that if you are suspected of a felony they can keep personal property for 6yrs. without charging you, then they must give it back or charge you.
  • I'm no lawyer, but I think if they release you within 48 hours, they should release your personal property along with you. Doesn't this make sense? If they refuse then speak to the judge to have them release the property. They can't keep it just for sake of spiting you.
  • maybe you should hire a lawyer to find out, people on the street don't have all the answers, call your local attorney he is more qualified to answer any questions you have about the law or laws in your state
