Help answer this question below.

What are signs that someone is gay?...im trying to find out from someone i know...but i cant really tell.....pls dont give me crap answers like"its rude to prod in ppls business"

Let me ask you a question. What are the signs that someone is not gay? Not easy is it? Who cares? If you are interested in that person get to know them better. Find some common likes and dislikes. When you are comfortable, ask the person if they feel the same way that you feel Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

It matters little if a person is gay or not - unless you are romantically inclined towards that person. If you are looking for stock answers, such as feminine mannerisms, a lisp, and all the rest of the stereotypical stuff, then perhaps you are really unwilling to accept the person for who they really are...

Honestly, there is no way to tell 100% that a male or female is gay. If you're wondering because you are interested in someone of the same sex and you're not sure if he/she is gay, then there are some things you can do to try and find out.
Eye Contact- If he/she maintains eye contact and looks deep into your eyes then that is a good sign the person is interested in you if they are of the same sex.

Body Language- the mirror what you do, they may lean in toward you when talking, they seem to find everything you're saying interesting, they may get nervous or fidgit

A real test is to see what happens if you touch the person's hand when giving them something and see if they pull away or if they don't seem to mind. Try standing a little closer once and a while and see if he/she backs away or doesn't mind.

The easiest way would be to observe the actions and mannerisms of people that openly admit to being gay and then draw your own conclusions for the rest.

Most of the time, it is very difficult to tell if a man or woman is gay. The pressure society exerts on each and every individual is extremely biased towards heterosexuality. Most gay men, are actually overly-straight towards their family and true towards their close friends. They may come across as the desperate woman seeker or the "horny" friend. Again this is because of the pressure society exerts on each individual, not the person in question. Most gay men shy away from telling people they know if they know that that person may be a little critical of homosexuality. So, if you are known for holding negative views towards homosexual men, not violent, just not positive either, then it is unlikely that you would be able to find out. In most cases gay men come out to their close friends. Most of the time many lead 2 lives where; they live an outwardly gay lifestyle with their close friends and they live a secluded overly-straight lifestyle with their family etc. The best answer to this question is to gather the courage to ask. The worst that could happen is he or she can be insulted. If this happens all you have to do is apologize. Cosmopolitan and Vogue plus there was an episode of the Real Life on MTV with subject matter pertaining to gay men or women can be looked at as perfect examples of tell-tale signs of homosexuality. It's not rude to prod so long as your intentions are positive.

dude im in the same delema im 16 and have one class this dude that i like alout. hes really cute and funny and in class we always flirt even thought we sit across the room from each other. during class we will both stop working for a split second and stare into each others eyes(which I love cause he has the most beautiful green eyes) and just smile and go back to work. we will flirt the whole time during class but after that class he dosent really talk to me. I try to txt him but no reply like always its so frustrating but rightt when I get in that class with him were both in love again which throws me off like he likes me but he dosent want to like me cause he dosent wanna be gay but when were around each other he likes me. except when he want to be an ass for the day like some days he will be like ur so gay damn fag. but I dosent stop there he always like just tell me ur gay and calls me gay and fag all the time he says he has and excusse cause he has a girl friend but he keep going I mean I never deny it but I never admit it. but right after being an ass he starts flirting again. so im so damn stressed out with him and school and everything else I dn know what to do with him. but thas my story got any advice for ppl would be much apreciated

Im an proud gay, and i had that problem a wee while ago and all you do is, get rli close to the person and build a good relationship and then start to flirt and chat through the net because its easier to be more forward to the person and if hes gay, he wont b able to resist(sorry if spelling is wrong). But it always doesnt work out, once you get the person, you mite not want them, you mite just like the chase. Just be careful, some fellas like to take the piss. Hope this helped.

Don't ask him if he's gay. Just keep your eyes and ears open - see if he talks about a girlfriend, or just guys - not an exact science, but less rude than the out-right question, and also less likely to get people thinking you you're trying to get in their pants too (even if you are). A little discreet watching can give you a hint - see who he's checking out, and what he's looking at when he does - I got caught out checking out a fit guy's buns!

You could also try a little flirting (not sexual though) - be cheeky - see how he responds...

I wouldn't know for a fact, but I'd say the same goes for gay girls too...

As a...I guess gay dude, who lives his life as a straight dude (I'm just not happy with guys who identify themselves as "gay"), I don't believe there is any particular way of knowing. It is difficult I have been trying to do it for atleast (10) years. Getting close and comfortable with the person is probably the best way to go about it. But, if its worth it, you'll probably have to take a risk, and just ask. If they are straight, they most likely will be offended, but sometimes its hot making that up to them. Straight guy's ego's hurt quikly...just as quickly they want someone to sooth it. Trust me its hot!!

Well you can be fairly sure that someone is gay when they start seeking out members of the same sex to have sex with, and ignoring the sexual advances of members of the opposite sex. Other than that... you never know for sure.

It depends on what you mean by gay. If they have a crush on someone of the same gender, i would say that means they're gay. Gay people don't always act stereotypical. My cousin's gay and he is nothing like the stereotypes. Why do you think your friend is gay?

Usually, gay people wear an actual sign around their neck that states, " I am gay." Failing that, sometimes they print it on their foreheads... or so I've been told.
Also, the more flamboyant ones carry a blinking neon sign that says the same thing, so it's pretty hard to miss.

just ask. I never got offended when someone asked if I am gay or straight. if you're too afraid, start with something like "I'm sorry, this is a rude question, and I don't mind you answering, but I was just wondering..." or something.

- hi there. im 24 years old and i am confused with with my feelings. i just found myself falling with a 31year old office mate. he is married and in good relationship with his wife..they have 2 kids and are in 10 years of married life giving me the impression that he is not gay nor bisexual. but i get confused when our friendship becomes closer and closer. we have body languages that is obviously flirting to each other. we look at each others eyes deeply and smile at each others sweetly..this gets met confused and stressed. i am not sure of myself anymore. i just find myself falling with this guy..i know myself as a straight. but i am so confused now..if i feel bad with him without anyword..he always find a way to approach me in a sweetly manner and avoid showing them in public. i notice that he is so conscious if people get a chance on us looking at each other. suddenly he becomes more masculine in dealing with me as if we are brothers..he started addressing me brother that makes me wonder why?.i dont understand his behavior now..but when i started pretending to be more masculine than him..i notice the sadness in his eyes and voice..i am so stressed now that i even became so conscious if this office mate of mind is around. last time..he waited for me for a cigar break.. he told me "I NEED YOU" and then he explained he does not have cigarette anymore that he can simply buy near the office. he is even showing me now all of his messages and informed me if they have a date with his wife.im confused..i dont know what he meant..he is so inconsistent..and get more frustrated for i do not know where to put myself.. what i remember is.. this guy told me "you cant break my shell, im also emotional, i will not reveal my secret". he mentioned this when we are drunk together talking about the reason why he lost his business..he just told me..he lost his business because of his stupidity in helping other people..i dont know..but if we are talking about ladies..he can tell me everything...that is something mysterious about him..kindly give me an ADVISE please...

Well, as a closeted "gay" man who lives in a straight world I can say it's not always easy. Often times I will talk about my girlfriend who is actually just a girl friend just to give the impression that I'm one of the guys. I also talk football, rock music and other things that would throw many off. The problem is I now have a co-worker who, like myself is 40, single (never married) and also talks about sports and a girlfriend who I suspect might be just a girl friend. He, like myself is also very clean and he keeps himself well groomed. Now, I'm trying to figure a way to ask him if he is without exactly telling him I am, but the funny thing is he always gives me the same somewhat evasive responces I give to people when they start fishing for information.
