finding the cheapest motel/hotel for the amenities offered in the area I need (just did that whole booking thing last night and it is a challenge)

I HATE to pack! Planning what to wear is really a pain. I used to either over-pack, or leave what would really work at home. Now I go pretty much for the basics, anything special I know is required for an occasion, and the attitude that if I need it and don't have it, I'll buy it there.

Making sure that your trip from point A to point B would be comfortable and safe.

Finding a place to go that i can afford.

One of the difficult parts in travel planning is keeping up with the current happenings in that country. Events ruined some of my plans because there were marches in the city and the whole area was blocked off so we couldn't enter it. Time means alot when you are on a short vacation.
