If there is a history in her family mammo first and ultra sound second if they found a lump. After that they would do a steriotatic breast biopsy. Lately the new gold standard is MRI it is less invasive but of course more expensive.

I would say they are far *less* likely, as many insurance companies do not begin to cover such exams until 35-40 years of age.
